Founded in 2007, BA Design has been on the forefront of the Miami Beach design scene for over a decade, serving residential and commercial clients throughout that time. The firms work is represented around the globe, as the companies founder and namesake, Beatriz Alvarez, has enjoyed a wide array of international clientele, designing spaces in the Miami Beach area and abroad. Determined to ensure every space is engaging, uplifting and inspired, her interiors are beautiful creations representing each clients story in a most livable and elegant environment.
The Firm offers a wide array of services encompassing interior design, such as architectural plans, special configuration, accessory procurement, lighting design, art and antique acquisition, and of course color, material, and furniture design, to complete the transformation of each space in accordance with each clients pallet. Other services include project management, full general contractor construction services for new-build projects, rehab construction, full-renovations, and home remodels, both drastic and light. Her ability to transform a kitchen and bath remodel is second to none. Beatriz also has extensive experience working directly with property developers, project managers, realtors, and contractors and has business relationships with many vendors and contractors throughout the Miami-Dade county with whom she has developed solid working-relationships with over time.
Taking on a Design partner in 2016, the firm has been working to expand it's reach into markets such as Los Angeles, Denver, Detroit, Vail, Aspen and abroad to Paris, Hong-Kong, South America, and the Caribbean. Beatriz has also been busy designing a furniture and accessory line, which we're excited to announce in the spring of 2018. Beatriz continues to travel the world in search of inspiration in order to stay on the forefront of an ever-changing society. Working with international clients in Miami beach and abroad, it is imperative to be knowledgeable of current trends world-wide. With this in mind, Beatriz takes inspiration from architecture, fashion, and different furniture and textiles from around the globe.
Beatriz Alvarez
After completing her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree for interior design at Miami Art University in 2001, Beatriz worked for one of Miami's most prestigious design firms on international design projects for retailers and commercial spaces. In that time, she completed several international hotel design projects.
In 2007, she founded BA Design and has since worked tirelessly to develop an efficient team of competent contractors while designing some of Miami Beach's most affluent, and sought after properties.
She has always remained on the forefront of the Miami design scene by way of her international knowledge of the countries she visits on a regular basis for work and research.
Since taking on a business partner in 2016, she has enjoyed sharing the project manager role, in order to be more available to the individual needs of each client and overseeing daily operations of the firm.
Amanda Blanco
Is a design collaborator at B-A Design. She graduated with Best Portfolio from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Architecture. Upon graduating she moved back to her hometown of Miami to pursue her career in the field. Soon after, she became an interior designer for internationally renown interior design firm Sam Robin Inc., where she spearheaded high-end large residential and hospitality projects for several years. With her experience in commercial and residential interior architecture, she decided to expand her horizons and opened her own firm CASABLANCO Design Inc. Amanda's keen sense of style and attention to detail are evident in all her work.
